Kanhou Tubao

Kanhou Tubao is located in Bailian Town, Jiangle County, Fujian Province. Built in the eighth year of Emperor Xianfeng’s reign of the Qing Dynasty (1858), the Kanhou Tubao was originally named Jingping Temple. Facing cliffs on three sides, the Kanhou Tubao is easy to defend but difficult to be attacked. Sitting on the south and facing to the north, the Kanhou Tubao is irregularly elongated according to the terrain, covering an area of 874.22 square meters. The Kanhou Tubao is composed of a watchtower at the southeast corner, a courtyard at the front and the Patriarch Hall at the back. The attached cultural relics of the building include the iron bell of the Xinyou year of Emperor Xianfeng’s reign in the Qing Dynasty and the iron bell of the tenth year of Emperor Tongzhi’s reign.
