Puyuan Village: It is 5 kilometers far away from Zhouning County, which was built in late period of the Southern Song Dynasty. In the third year of Emperor Jiading, the ancestor of Zheng’s Clan took the whole family to move to Puyuan Village from Gukou Villige. Puyuan Village has a long history and rich cultural resources, and there are a large number of traditional buildings preserved. The village is listed in the third batch of Fujian Provincial Historic Cultural Villages in 2008. The custom of protecting carps is listed Intangible Cultural Heritage List of Fujian Province in 2009. Puyuan Village is listed Famous Historical and Cultural Village in China and second batch of traditional villages in China in 2014 and Carp Culture Township in China in 2019.
